[Road Runners (Private) Limited] and/or its affiliates (collectively referred to as “Road Runners”, “we” or “us”) collect(s) information about you when you use our mobile applications, website, call-centre and other products and services (collectively, the “Services”) and through other interactions and communications you have with us.
This privacy policy sets out and covers Road Runners’ privacy practices in connection with your access to and use of our Services and the basis on which any information, including but not limited to any personal data that we collect from you or you provide to us, will be processed by Road Runners. Each time you access or use the Services or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this privacy policy.
This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy") applies to all individuals that access or use our Services (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Users” and individually referred to as a “User”) as well as to the drivers, third party vehicle owners, or any other persons who use the Road Runners platform.
Road Runners collects the information you provide directly to us through your access or use of the Services, such as when you create or modify your account, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with Road Runners. This information may include with limitation: your name, email address, phone number, postal address, profile picture, payment method, financial and credit card information and other information you choose to provide to us.
When you use Road Runners Services, we collect personal information (i.e. information that could be used to contact you directly such as a full name, postal address, phone number, credit/debit card information, or email address) and demographic information (i.e. information that you submit, or that we collect, that is not personal information; this may include, but is not limited to, postal code, city, gender, username, age/birth date) (“Personal Information”).
Additionally, Road Runners shall also collect information about each User’s location (via your IP address) or when the User opts to use the location sharing feature in their mobile device. In this respect, it may be noted that User consent would be obtained prior to using the location sharing feature (“Location Information”).
Road Runners also collects transaction details related to each User’s trip using Road Runners Services which include the date and time, amounts charged and other related details of a User’s trip (“Trip Information”).
(Personal Information, Location Information and Trip Information shall hereinafter collectively be referred to as “Data”.)
Road Runners shall use, store and process your Data and any other information collected to provide and improve our Services and ensure a secure, safe and trusted experience for our Users.
Road Runners may use the Data provided by the Users to us or that we collect from you to, inter alia:
Provide, maintain, and improve our Services, analyze the Services and to develop new products and services, including by studying our user demographics of the Services;
Perform internal administration and operations, including, for example, to prevent fraud and abuse of our Services, to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems, to conduct data analysis, testing, and research and to monitor and analyze usage and activity trends;
Send or facilitate communications between Users and their respective drivers such as estimated times of arrival and booking confirmation etc;
Provide customer support to Users;
Administer referral programs, surveys, rewards or other promotional activities;
Notify you of changes to our Services; and
Personalize and improve the Services, including to provide or recommend features, content, social connections, referrals, and advertisements.
We use technical, physical and organizational measures designed to protect the Data against unauthorized access, destruction or alteration while it is under our control. We ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations with respect to retention and storage of Data and we retain Data submitted by Users for a reasonable length of time.
Road Runners is not responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. By accessing or using the Services, you hereby represent and warrant that you understand that all information submitted by you through the Services or otherwise to Road Runners may be used by Road Runners in accordance with applicable laws, this privacy policy and our User terms of use.
We may share the Data which we collect about you as described in this Privacy Policy or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows:
We may share Data:
With the drivers to enable them to provide the Services you request;
With third parties to provide you a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us;
With third parties with whom you choose to let us share your Data, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our Services;
With Road Runners’ subsidiaries and affiliated entities;
With vendors, consultants, marketing and advertising partners, and other service providers who need access to such Data to carry out work on our behalf or to perform any contract we enter into with them;
In response to a request for information by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process; and
With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties to enforce or apply our terms of Service, to investigate potential breaches or if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Road Runners and / or others.
We keep our Privacy Policy under review, and we may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will become effective when we post such revised Privacy Policy on our website/application. Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes your consent to the changes. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy for any modification and amendments made to the same.
Road Runners makes every effort to ensure that your Data is secure on our system. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, Road Runners cannot guarantee the security of any Data that you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
